Memorial Day is a day for parades and remembrance, picnics and barbecues — and lots of deals!
Many restaurants and retailers are offering discounts and freebies over the Memorial Day weekend. Some of the deals are only for military personnel or veterans, while others are available to all. Some of the deals aren’t specifically for Memorial Day, but they’re good over the holiday weekend, so we’ll count them in as a way to enjoy the kick-off-to-summer holiday on the cheap.
We’ve broken down the Memorial Day offers by restaurant deals, shopping deals and gift card bonuses.

In addition, the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend is National Hamburger Day, so you can find more meaty deals to enjoy over the holiday weekend.
7-Eleven: Slice into a big deal over the holiday weekend. 7-Eleven is celebrating Memorial Day weekend with a pizza deal for first-time 7NOW customers. First-time customers can enjoy a FREE pizza with any order on 7NOW — use promo code PIZZA.
Applebee’s: Take flight this Memorial Day weekend. Applebee’s is giving away a FREE movie ticket (up to $15) to see the much-anticipated sequel Top Gun: Maverick with a dine-in purchase of $25 or more. Get two tickets with a purchase of $50 or more. The offer ends June 12.
Caribou Coffee: Stir it up on Memorial Day. Caribou Coffee is offering active-duty service members, veterans and military spouses a FREE hot brewed Coffee of the Day on May 30.
Carrabba’s Italian Grill: In honor of Memorial Day (and all year long), military service members receive 10% off at Carrabba’s Italian Grill with the restaurant’s Heroes Discount.
Fogo de Chão: Enjoy lots of meaty savings on Memorial Day. Fogo de Chão is offering 50% off the meals of all veterans and active-duty personnel on May 30. Plus, their guests enjoy 10% off their meals — valid for up to three additional people.
Hungry Howie’s: Enjoy the originator of flavored crust pizza over the Memorial Day weekend. Hungry Howie’s is offering Mix & Match Deal — choose two items from a select menu for $6.99 each. The offer is valid online, in-store and by phone (for carry out and delivery orders) from May 27 to 30.
Jimmy John’s: Get sandwiched by savings over the holiday weekend at Jimmy John’s. Save $5 on an order of $20 or more with promo code 5OFF20. The deal is only available Monday through Friday after 5 p.m. and all day on Saturday and Sunday. The offer ends July 5.
Kona Grill: Leave the Memorial Day weekend grilling up to Kona Grill. The restaurant is offering all veterans, active-duty and reserve military 20% off their check, when they dine in-restaurant from May 27 to 30. In addition, Kona Grill will be serving a thirst-quenching and patriotic-themed Red, White & Blue Margarita Flight.
Marco’s Pizza: Pizza is the perfect choice for a Memorial Day weekend family gathering. From May 26 to 29, Marco’s Pizza is offering 20% off regular menu prices on any pizza, including All Meat, Deluxe, Garden, Hawaiian Chicken, Pepperoni Magnifico and White Cheezy. The offer is only valid online via the pizza chain’s app or website — use promo code MEM20. (The pizza chain is also offering the same 20% discount with promo code RETRO, but through June 3.)
Olive Garden: If you take the whole family to Olive Garden, enjoy an extra take-home entrée for just $6. Pick up enough extra meals to enjoy over the holiday weekend. Choose from Fettuccine Alfredo, Five Cheese Ziti al Forno and Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
Outback Steakhouse: All service men and women receive 10% off their meal all day, every day (including Memorial Day), thanks to Outback Steakhouse’s Heroes Discount.
Pizza Hut: Pizza is perfect for every holiday, including Memorial Day. Have an inexpensive pizza party over the holiday weekend, thanks to Pizza Hut’s ongoing deals and discounts. Share a slice of pizza and fun with the family…plus, it’s an easy set-up (and clean-up) for the party planner.
Sonic Drive-In: Leave the cooking to Sonic Drive-In over the holiday weekend. Get a buy-one-get-one FREE hot dog via the chain’s app — from May 27 to 30. Choose between Chili Cheese Coneys or All-American Hot Dogs.
STK Steakhouse: Military personnel enjoy a big, juicy discount for Memorial Day. STK Steakhouse is offering all active duty, reserve, military veterans and Gold Star Families a 20% discount, when they dine in-restaurant from May 27 to 30.
In addition, the restaurant will be serving a special Red, White & Blue Steak Stopping, featuring a juicy lobster tail, truffle butter and crispy blue corn strips, for an additional $19.95 with the order of any steak.
Texas de Brazil: Active duty military and veterans with valid badge or ID receive 15% off their lunch or dinner prices at Texas de Brazil. The offer applies to accompanying diners — up to four at the table. The offer is available year-round, but not on holidays. (Don’t worry, Memorial Day is not one of the blackout dates.)
TGI Fridays: Let someone else take care of all the Memorial Day weekend party food. From May 27 to 30, TGI Fridays fans can get 25% off Platters, Party Trays and Family Meal Bundles on online or call-in takeout orders — use promo code 25MEMDAY.
Wendy’s: Stop by Wendy’s and pick up one of its limited time deals or swipe its app for the latest discounts.
Memorial Day shopping deals

Office Depot: Get your home office ready with big savings. In-store and online, Office Depot‘s Memorial Day Sale runs from May 26 to June 4. Customers can save more than 50% on select furniture and chairs. Plus, save big on PCs, tech accessories, supplies and more.
Walgreens: Military and veterans (and their families) receive 20% off eligible regular-priced items at Walgreens — from May 27 to 30. The offer is only valid in-store with myWalgreens membership and proof of service.
Memorial Day gift card bonuses
Relax over the Memorial Day weekend by putting away the outdoor grill. Let one of these restaurants do all the work over the holiday weekend with a gift card bonus or discount. Buy the gift card as a way to celebrate the start of summer or a way to save when you take the whole family out to dinner.
